Decopatch is in !! It is a very exciting craft technique that produces amazing objects that are very personal. If you are just passing and can’t wait for a bisque to be fired, Decopatch is ideal.

We’re all very excited with it. it’s perfect for creating a take-away beautiful gift. All you need to create your own Decopatch masterpiece is the object you’re going to cover (and it works on anything!), some special glue varnish and a selection of our beautiful papers. Follow our easy step by step by guide below and before you know it you’ll be Decopatching everything you can get your hands on!

1. Choose your object – it can be anything. This is one of our large giraffes.

2. Cut or tear your paper into small pieces – about postage stamp size works well.

3. Paint some glue onto your object, making sure you glue an area bigger than the piece of paper. Be generous!

4. Pick up a piece of paper with your brush and place it on your object.

5. Paint a thin coat of glue varnish of the paper.

6. Repeat steps 3-5 until your object is completely covered. Check there are no bare patches.

7. You can use jewels and Patchliner Relief Paint to enhance your project.

8.Hey Presto, you’re a Decopatcher.

What a lovely place My wife and myself called into Tutbury for a stroll round after visiting Sudbury Hall. We came across Chatterbox Ceramic Café and what a lovely surprise We were greeted very warmly by Linzi and Kerrie who must have seen the surprised look on our face!! They made us at ease and explained that as well as a café you could also purchase a ceramic piece then paint it and have it fire (this would mean waiting for a couple of weeks) The purchase and painting was not compulsory as you could just have a coffee, tea, etc. It is great if you need to children entertained and we shall certainly going back

Lovely place Kids loved it here, gets a little crowded at times but that’s because its so popular, food also good and their hit chocolate is delicious Recommended.

Beautiful little place This place is super. The ladies in there were lovely and super friendly and helpful. We had a lovely milkshake while we painted and spent ages in there. We were not rushed in the slightest and was given lots of help and guidance with out painting. It was a fabulous place and we can not wait to come collect our items:)

managed to keep two teenagers entertained for over 2 hours Spur of the moment decision to try some ceramic painting. Fantastic location with local free parking. The owners were very friendly and offered lots of helpful tips. The selection of items was very good. We are really looking forward to collecting our creations

Fantastic Place I took my 6 year old son here in the school holidays. He chose to paint a Gnome, he thoroughly enjoyed painting it and then getting the finished item. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They make you feel welcome and explain how to paint their chosen item in a simple way they can understand. I will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends and will be back again with my son to paint another item.
